Dr . Altaf Alam

Professor of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Shaikh Zayed Hospital, Lahore Pakistan.Dr. Altaf Alam is a trained Gastroenterologist with more than twenty years of post membership experience in his specialty. Currently he is Professor & Head of Department of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at Shaikh Zayed Postgraduate Medical Institute, Lahore, Pakistan. He is proficient in Endoscopic procedures. Dr. Altaf has been actively involved in the teaching of both undergraduate & postgraduate students during his experience in the UK & Pakistan. He has participated & promoted research projects in his department. He has helped in the organization & management of various teaching programs & courses at Shaikh Zayed Hospital. Dr. Altaf is an active member of Pakistan Society of Gastroenterology & GI Endoscopy (PSG) and elected Vice-President of PSG during 2001-2003. He has several research papers published locally & internationally to his credit.
